History of silk

 

Thérèse is the result of an accidental discovery, like all other natural wonders, like the very creation of the universe.

 

It begins with the calmness of someone who has the time to enjoy a cup of tea. When accidentally dropping a worm inside and seeing how pulling it out creates a thread of soft silk, a material that would later on become one of the most exquisite organic fabrics to wear is discovered.

 

 

The secret of silk is in its movement.

In the movement of the trees that feed every worm

and their patience when remaining static during the formation of chrysalis.

 

In the movement of the hands that unravel the cocoon and of the wheel where the thread begins to turn into cloth.

 

The silk then forms as smoothly as a soft caress that moves to the rhythm of the user’s body.
